Steve Jobs, Genius. 1955-2011

There aren’t a lot of people that can be genuinely called a genius: Steve Jobs was one. He has revolutionised the computer world by changing the way the average person interacts with their devices and their world. And made a lot of money doing it.

The modern western person’s world will never be the same as it was before Apple’s devices affected many aspects of this world, from the iPod to the iPhone and iPad we are using the devices, or copies of them by other companies all the time. And loving it! And paying for it, to make Apple the biggest company in the world by market capitalisation. A far cry from the company that Jobs returned to in 1996 when it was on it’s knees, almost broken. He master minded the first coloured iMac’s release followed by the series of hits that are the various i-devices, turning the company round in the following decade.

Job’s dual matras of usability and design have made Apple products the envy of companies all over the world, often copied but never bettered. Apple have proved that people will pay a little more for something that is better designed and easy to use, going against the rest of the PC world with it’s fixation on price rather than ease of use

Currently Apple are at the forefront of the move to supply content to be streamed to any of our various mobile devices at any time. The next wave of consumer action is taking place in this field as we expect and enjoy our media being available at any time on any of our devices, be they iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Mac computer.

Our world will never be the same again… thank you Steve.
