1. SPECIAL OFFER FOR MR MAC CLIENTS:

Google is in the process of changing its search engine algorithms and any website that is not mobile friendly will soon lose it’s hard earned search ranking.

Research shows that there are now more users searching with their phone or tablet than with desktop computers, so Google has decided to force the hand of businesses who are not looking after mobile users by penalising them into non-existence.

To check if your site is mobile-friendly, you can click the link to use Google’s simple Mobile-Friendly Test: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

The good news is that Jules Ober is offering a special deal to Mr Macintosh customers. For $1500 ($1000 off the usual price) she will take your current website content and make it fully responsive (and looking great) using WordPress* (*conditions apply).

This offer is valid only until June 30th 2015.

Call 0422 759304 or email jules@julesober.net today to ensure the continuing success of your business online. More details can be found at www.julesober.net

2. Email Scams:

Currently among the usual emails looking as if they are from a bank are some from Gmail. Well, they’re not really from Gmail at all. They tell you that someone has trie to hack your Gmail account and to click the link in the email and reset your password.

Don’t do it!!

It will just take you to a dummy site where the machines in the scam will milk you for information to try and steal you identity. You will then begin to get similar requests from other services you have signed up for, like PayPal, which is more serious because if they get you to enter your user password to reset it they can access your credit card details.

The golden rule is: IGNORE EMAIL CONTACTS FROM ANY OF THESE COMPANIES. They are most likely hoaxes…

3. Save Photos in Messages:

When you get images in Messages on your Mac you can right-click and choose Save to iPhoto one by one. But PhotoBee will let you see all of them and sort it easily and quickly for about $8.

4. Save your Clipboard to iCloud:

Very good idea: Copy anything to the clipboard and it is available on any device synced with iCloud! And it’s free!! CloudClip is brilliant.

5. Finding Duplicates in iPhoto, Photos and iOS Devices:

A rather prickly problem is to easily find duplicates on your iOS devices and in iPhoto (or the new Photos that is replacing iPhoto). This company makes a little app, $8 for each, Mac or iOS. Pretty cool price….

6. Send and Receive Faxes on Your Mac or iPhone:

Occasionally faxes are required in the modern email world. This app if the solution and it’s free! iFax does all that on your Mac and with a similar app on your iOS devices.

7. Mute Spotify Ads Automatically!:

Clever little free app that does that for you. For all you streaming Spotify addicts out there.

8. Keep Files Or Folders Hidden and Protected:

Often there is one folder that you wish to keep hidden from other users of your Mac. Maybe it’s where you keep your passwords! MySafe will let you do that simply for free up to 100MBs and then very cheaply if there is more data that needs hiding…

9. Items For Sale

Please include plenty of detail with your items for sale requests.
