FINALLY WE HAVE RANSOMWARE ON THE MAC PLATFORM!: After decades of being virus free on our beloved Macs there is finally a sort of a virus – well really ransomeware – that can encrypt your hard drive making all the data unrecoverable without paying the perpetrators for a key. But don’t panic! It only occurs if you install a particular version of Transmission, a BitTorrent client. 5. TAKE CARE OF CONTACTING LOVED ONES IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: This might seem morbid but it’s all bout being prepared.
