1. Beamer for Apple TV: Although it costs $30, Beamer simplifies the streaming of any movie to your Apple TV and makes the Remote work better too. Any video file format works without converting to iTunes and unlike screen mirroring it means high quality video. http://beamer-app.com
2. Emoji on Your Mac: From anywhere doing anything hit Command+Control+Space bar to bring up an Emoji panel with heaps of them to insert into whatever you’re doing!
3. WhatsApp for iOS: Finally appearing for your iPhone is WhatsApp, apparently a popular app that we haven’t had before. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/aug/19/iphone-whats-app-web-ios-users-client-support
4. An Apple Car: Heaps of rumours and reports due to Apple hiring automotive people from other companies, like Tesla the electric car makers, has led to serious rumours about an Apple car. Probably a long way off but it sounds like fun… http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/aug/14/apple-self-driving-car-project-titan-sooner-than-expected
5. Falling Out Of Love With Google: An article I wrote that has been published by Verandah Magazine, an online tome, concerning the privacy abuse by Google among others. http://www.verandahmagazine.com.au/falling-love-google/
6. Schedule: I use the Calendar app on my Mac and iPhone/iPad every day—it’s indispensable, but many people don’t. Could it be the interface? Schedule is a $4 app aiming to make the daily process more visual which works in this area of the world! http://www.ilifetouch.com/Schedule https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/schedule/id1020082100?mt=12
7. Use Pins for Bookmarks: This app puts a little pin icon in your browser toolbar which lets you take control of your bookmarks. Colour code them, categorise them and have a very tidy, neat time with them for $4… http://www.pinsapp.com
8. TrackingTime: Some of these apps that are free amaze me! This time-tracking freebie for Mac and iOS stores the data in the cloud so you can collaborate with others to track time in projects, tasks, sub tasks, analysis and more. Its a powerful tool. https://trackingtime.co https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trackingtime/id967777543?mt=12
9. A Reminder of My rates I charge $110 per hour including GST. No call-out fee or travel charge in the Byron Shire. Half hour minimum. Telephone support costs the same in 15 minute increments Email support is still free! Please include plenty of detail in your email inquiries.
