Troubleshooting your Mac
|
Sometimes even the happiest computers play up, after all it's an immature technology. Remember when your car broke down frequently, needed all sorts of molly-coddling and you never really knew that it would get you there? That wasn't so long ago. Now motor vehicles have matured into a reliable technology and they pretty well just work. As long as they're not too old that is... Computers need to be looked after, occasionally given a restart and definitely taken care of with maintenance. See the Maintaining Your Mac section for details. When things go wrong there are a few things you can do to assess and hopefully sort out the problems unless they are major hardware issues, like a dead hard drive. In that case you need to call to your local Apple dealer, in Byron Bay this is Lightforce on 6685-8796 |
